    What is it about?

The world today is facing new problems and dilemmas. These are challenges for an entirely new generation, who have a whole range of visual tools at their disposal. This is a generation that often lives in virtual reality – it is no wonder that post-production is now the hottest trend in photography. The big question is, how can photography stay relevant in this changing environment, even while it is losing its uniqueness as a medium.

It is particularly interesting to look at the current state of photojournalism: we live in an age where thanks to our smartphones and social media, everyone can feel like a photographer, a photojournalist, a fine art photographer.

This seminar on the burning issues affecting the industry of photojournalism is not only for creators, as these questions affect all readers and viewers of media, images and videos. The event will provide unique information and experience for both press professionals, art and communication students, or anyone interested in photography.

Get immersed in the stories of international experts, illustrated with projected images, without nostalgia, and join the discussion generated between the speakers and the audience.

The seminar is a tribute to an era where the credibility of photography was not yet questioned; to an era where photographers were witnesses, not mere selfie-takers, and certainly not the producers of fake news.

We will reflect on the present and look to the future to discuss the main challenges facing the profession and how photographers and press photography can adapt to these.

The event will be joined by two world-class, internationally distinguished speakers from ‘West’ and ‘East’ in addition to the renowned Hungarian professionals and artists invited to our roundtable discussion.
